Me, Audrey Kitching, Lauren, and some of our friends are having a Yard Sale this COMING Saturday in Hollywood. There will be tons of cute clothes to buy and fun to be had. Oh and don’t worry. There will be food AND drinks. So if you don’t live in LA, it’s ROADTRIP  time! This is not to be missed!

I am always running out of things to do with my hair. I’ve had virtually the same hair for…YOU KNOW…all of my life. And I don’t do short hair. Period. I’ve gone back and forth with bangs, long bangs, different placed parts. It never really looks ANY different. So I love finding new exciting ideas of things to do with my giant hair. And isn’t this kinda cool? All the girls at the Volcom Denim preview had their hair did up by the Nylon crew with all these bobby pins. It’s kinda really cute. AND easy. I wouldn’t try it at the airport. But a day sans metal detectors should be easy to manage. Right?

I went to the LA screening of Captured last night. It’s a film by Ben Solomon and Dan Levin, two born and bred Lower East Siders. It documents the documenting of Clayton Patterson. If you aren’t familiar, Patterson is  a photographer and videographer who lived, worked, and “captured” the spirit of the Lower East Side in the 80′s and 90′s and it’s inevitable gentrification in later years. It captured it WELL. It was honest and real. It didn’t hold much back. The archival footage that Patterson gave these boys access to was both shocking and completely brilliant to watch. It’s a story of America. Of the gentrification of so many neighborhoods. It’s a story worth watching. I highly recommend it.

This reminds me of when I used to DIG through my mom’s collection of shopping bags looking for “cool ones” to carry my gym clothes to school in. But, it also doesn’t remind me of that AT ALL.

OMG! Look at the website for the obviously trashy Steppin’ Out magazine! I love the Kardashians. How did this happen?  Don’t they have “people” now? I should offer to do their PR or something. Holy SADFACE.

Recently one of my friends got into an argument with the summer-fling type boy she had acquired. He thought Megan Fox was smart, beautiful, and amazing. She disagreed. It was a “dealbreaker” for her. They have since “parted ways.”

Megan Fox is not particularly smart. I might go SO far as to say she is pretty dumb.  I’m sure anyone who is relatively bright is aware of this fact. But the thing, that’s fascinating, is that she thinks she IS smart. She did THIS interview where she talked about how she is “so confident in her intelligence” that she doesn’t NEED to use big words like Scarlett Johansson. She has this contrived “Fuck them if they don’t understand me” attitude only reserved for the not-so-brighties of the world. The whole thing is painful to watch. She is NAGL for smart girls and needs to be put down.

But, I was definitely impressed to find out she graduated from the top of her class in correspondence (high) school tho!

MY GAWD! Who else has been watching Tiny and Toya? What I expected to be the most boring, silly, and utterly ridiculous reality show to date, may in fact be the best reality show I have watched in a long time. Not only are these girls interesting, their lives are heartbreaking. I cried more than once. God bless Tiny’s mama for taking care of her dad. I don’t know if I could do it. And Toya’s heartbreaking mother wandering the streets of NO? And these MIA baby daddy’s? These two girls really show you their hearts. BET has really been stepping it up lately. Watching it didn’t feel exploitative. It felt like a sincere look into their lives. The honesty while hard to take at times is for lack of a better word…HONEST.

I wanna hug them thru tha TV.
